Shrader - Jacob

Source: Crawfordsville Weekly Journal Friday 6 August 1897

Again God in his infinite power has seen fit to call from our midst another beloved brother, Jacob Shrader, who departed this life August 2, 1897. The funeral services were conducted at the home of the deceased by Rev. J. M. Kendall, of Dana, and the remains were laid to rest in the Russellville Cemetery. It is hard to think that one just in the bloom of youth should be forced so early to lie down by the roadside and rest before half his journey on earth was completed. It only tells us again of the certainty of death and the uncertainty of life. Mr. Shrader was a member of the Baptist Church at this place. He leaves a wife and four children to mourn his loss. Mourn not, for he has gone to dwell with our dear Lord, and what is your loss is his gain. -s
